The remote and microphone are compatible with all models of iPod, iPhone, and iPad (though not all models support volume up/down functions). Audio is supported by all iPod models.

Please note that the iPod nano (4th generation) requires software version 1.0.3, while the iPod classic (120GB) needs version 2.0.1, and the iPod touch (2nd generation) should be running version 2.2 or later.
